St. Joseph

Descendant of the House of David and earthly spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Joseph was a carpenter and was noted for his willingness to immediately get up and do what God told him. For this virtue, God chose St. Joseph to become the guardian of the Holy Family. Scripture says little of him and does not even record a single word spoken by St. Joseph. He died of natural causes before the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He is considered a patron saint of many cities, countries, governments and professions throughout the world. He is chiefly considered the patron saint of carpenters, against doubt or hesitation, and of a holy death.
